Martins)</author><description>Fits discrete-time survival models to the times at which
individual organisms fail under thermal exposure (e.g., loss of
equilibrium, knockdown or death), using Bayesian inference in
'Stan' through 'brms'. The hazard is the product of a failure
rate that depends on temperature, following Kingsolver and
Umbanhowar (2018) &lt;doi:10.1242/jeb.167858&gt;, and a baseline that
may depend on the time under exposure. Failure times may be
known-time, interval-censored or both, and may come from static
assays, ramping assays or both. The failure rate may depend on
covariates, group-level effects and other stressors such as
dissolved oxygen. Static and dynamic critical thermal maxima,
thermal death time curves and thermal tolerance landscapes are
derived from the fitted model with their posterior uncertainty.
Models can be compared by cross-validation that leaves out
whole individuals or trials, averaged, and used to predict
survival along a record of temperature and of any co-stressors
recorded with it.</description><link>https://github.com/r-universe/eogmartins/actions/runs/38940590495</link><pubDate>Fri, 16 Oct 2026 16:43:02 GMT</pubDate><r:package>rTFT</r:package><r:version>0.1.1</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://eogmartins.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/eogmartins/rTFT</r:upstream><r:article><r:source>comparing-and-averaging-models.qmd</r:source><r:filename>comparing-and-averaging-models.html</r:filename><r:title>Comparing and averaging models</r:title><r:created>2026-10-09 13:02:40</r:created><r:modified>2026-10-12 17:32:20</r:modified></r:article><r:article><r:source>getting-started.qmd</r:source><r:filename>getting-started.html</r:filename><r:title>Getting started with rTFT</r:title><r:created>2026-10-07 05:47:50</r:created><r:modified>2026-10-12 13:44:23</r:modified></r:article><r:article><r:source>ramping-assays.qmd</r:source><r:filename>ramping-assays.html</r:filename><r:title>Ramping assays</r:title><r:created>2026-10-08 00:37:57</r:created><r:modified>2026-10-12 13:44:23</r:modified></r:article><r:article><r:source>temperature-and-a-co-stressor.qmd</r:source><r:filename>temperature-and-a-co-stressor.html</r:filename><r:title>Temperature and a co-stressor</r:title><r:created>2026-10-10 16:51:37</r:created><r:modified>2026-10-12 13:44:23</r:modified></r:article></item></channel></rss>
